I like what Drew Carey has said.  He seems like a progressive thinker.  Note his statements about “rich kids’ syndrome.”

   NO.

   The voters of Cleveland WANT waste, scandal, and stupidity. They cannot think past “What are they giving me”. Where is JFK when you need him “Ask not what your city can do for you, ask what you can do for your city.”
   I saw build up the surrounding suburbs, or next nearest cities. They will be MORE compliant with new ideas. Also, if you want to “rebuild” cleveland, then their stupid representatives need to accept Apple, Inc. with open arms, NOT blow them off without speaking to them. Idiots.
   I think it was San Diego, CA that has undergone significant revitalization (links below). You know how they did it? WITH A PLAN.
   Cleveland politicians only want kickbacks and want to fight amongst themselves. There IS NO PLAN. The city council needs to be voted out en toto. If Drew Carey wants to help, he needs to invest in startups and companies who will work towards attracting talent into the area (www.joroto.com and others come to mind. search cleveland and invest maybe). Drew needs to bypass the government and get jobs going here at a faster clip than the rest of the country. Good Press will follow, and then other “good things” will happen. Drew needs to draw upon his associates who have money and invest here. Since the Rust Belt began, investment has been sent elsewhere. The disconnect is between the money and the entrepreneurs. Small business hires more people, than large business does.
